Affiliate and sponsorship disclosure
In short: some links on this site earn us a commission. They never cost you more, and they never change what we recommend.
Affiliate links
Some links to brands and products on Mother and Baby Singapore are affiliate links. If you buy through one, the seller pays us a small commission. You pay the same price you would have paid anyway: the commission comes out of the seller’s margin, not your pocket.
We add affiliate links after we have decided what to recommend, not before. When something is worth recommending and there is no affiliate programme behind it, we still recommend it.
How we decide what to recommend
We compare what is actually available in Singapore: the prices in Singapore dollars, the specifications, where you can buy it, and whether it suits how families here really live. A product earns its place in a roundup on that basis, and “we would skip this one” is something we are willing to write.
We do not sell rankings or ratings. If a brand asks to pay for a place in a roundup or for a better score, the answer is no.
Sponsored posts
We sometimes publish sponsored posts. They are labelled “Sponsored” on the page itself, and their links are marked as sponsored for search engines. The same rules apply to them: we only take sponsorships that fit what Singapore parents actually need, and we never promise a favourable write-up as part of the deal.
Gifted products
When a brand sends us a product to test, we say so in the piece. Being sent something does not buy a good rating.
Questions
If anything here is unclear, or you think we have a recommendation wrong, tell us. We would rather fix it.
